Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 22, 2026
At Pics Metadata, we believe that your personal files belong to you. We have built this tool with privacy as its foundational principle. This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle data and explains our strict zero-upload architecture.
1. Zero-Upload Architecture
The core functionality of Pics Metadata relies entirely on client-side processing. When you select an image to view or remove its metadata, the file is processed locally within your web browser.
- We do not upload your images to our servers.
- We do not store, cache, or transmit your files across the internet.
- We do not have access to any metadata extracted from your images.
2. Data Collection and Usage
Because all image processing takes place within your browser's execution sandbox using HTML5 Canvas and JavaScript binaries, we collect zero personal files, photos, or extracted EXIF attributes.
We do not require user accounts, email registration, subscriptions, or payment details to use any of the tools on Pics Metadata.
3. Third-Party Services & Analytics
Like most standard websites, we may utilize privacy-respecting analytics to track general website performance, aggregate visitor counts, and detect technical errors. These services do not receive or access any photos or metadata processed on our website.
4. Local Storage and Preferences
We may use your browser's local storage solely to remember user interface preferences, such as your dark/light theme preference. No image data or personal identifiers are ever stored in local storage.
5. Contact Us
